Katherine Heigl is best known for her part as Dr. Izzie Stevens on the popular ABC medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" which she was a part of from 2005 until 2010. Like a surprising number of Hollywood stars, Katherine Heigl began her professional career as a young model, and eventually switched to acting in her late teens. After starring and co-starring parts in several films and television movies, such as "That Night", "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory", "Prince Valiant", and "Wish Upon a Star", she became a household name on the sci-fi romance "Roswell" on the fledging WB network.
